HPT F3 6870 on Evo 8 Hits Over 1,000 HP

When Turner Desmond Pierre at Performance Destination in Orlando, FL got to work on Trevor Parkins’ Evo 8, we knew the HPT F3 6870 Ball Bearing turbo was about to prove exactly what it was made for. The result? 1031HP and 744TQ at just 39–40 psi, with room left on the table.

From the first pull, this car showed just how dialed in the setup was. Despite aggressive GSC S3 cams, it idled rock-solid. Turner asked the customer what he wanted out of it — “1000 HP.” On the third pull it made 998HP, and on the very next one it sailed past that mark to 1031 HP.

What Impressed Us Most?

  • Insanely fast spool and brutal torque delivery—on the dyno and on the street.

  • Turbo kept spinning for nearly 3 minutes after the car was shut off—testament to our ultra-efficient ball bearing design.

  • Street pulls were violent in the best way—no lag, just instant freight train acceleration.

  • We didn’t find the limit of the turbo—we hit the limit of the fuel system. With more fuel, there’s more power to be made.

Build Highlights:

  • HPT F3 6870 Turbo

  • 2.0L Built Motor w/ GSC S3 Cams

  • JFab 8-Injector Manifold + FIC 2150cc Injectors x8

  • Dual fuel pumps (450 & 525)

  • AEM V2 Standalone

  • Pfitzner Dog Box

  • OrsiFab Full Fabrication

  • ETS Intercooler, JD Customs USA Coil Kit

This setup checks every box — big power, street-friendly drivability, fast spool, and a powerband that just keeps pulling. It's the perfect showcase of what modern turbo tech can do in the right hands.

Huge shoutout to Performance Destination for raising the bar!
