Jack Brooks: The True Spirit of Drag-and-Drive Racing
Some wins don't come with a trophy, but they leave a lasting impact. Jack Brooks had his share of misfortune at Sick Week 2025, battling a lost HTD pulley, a failed transmission, and finally an oil pump failure that ended his week early. But Jack wasnât done yet.
Instead of packing up, he and his co-pilot Shawn stayed at the track, cheering on fellow racers. Then came the ultimate test of sportsmanshipâon the final day, Super Street leader Bob Hess Jr. needed a turbo to make his last pass. Without hesitation, Jack pulled one of his HPT F5 88103 turbos off his Chevy Nova and helped install it on Bobâs Fox Body Mustang. The result? Bob made his pass just in time and clinched the Super Street win!
This moment captured the heart of the Drag-and-Drive communityâcompetitors helping each other in the heat of battle. Jack Brooks, we salute you! We can't wait to see you back in action at Drag Week 2025.
